Atlas Waste Paper Corp. (Pittsburgh) and Assad Iron & Metals inc. (Brownsville, Pa.) have each purchased an HRB-918W two-ram baler manufactured by Harris Waste Management Group Inc. (Peachtree City, Ga.). Both balers, sold by Ely Enterprises Inc. (Cleveland), are equipped with steel-belt infeed conveyor systems produced by Mayfran International (Cleveland) and feature bale release doors to allow easy ejection of oversized bales. Atlas is using its baler to process various grades of recovered fiber, while Assad has installed its machine at its new facility on Neville Island, near Pittsburgh, to bale nonferrous and light-gauge ferrous scrap.
