CHINA MAKES CORRECTIONS TO NEW EXPORT TAX REBATE POLICY

Beijing has made several corrections to the export tax rebate policy announced last month after finding a number of mistakes in the original list. The September 14 announcement erroneously said that an 8 percent export tax rebate would apply to stainless and alloy steel ingots, tin and tin products such as alloy bar, rod, wire, foil, sheet and strip. Stainless and alloy steel ingots are not eligible for any rebate, while tin and tin products will enjoy a 5 percent rebate, unchanged from before the original announcement, the government said.
