NEW BAR AND WIRE ROD MILL AT SONG DA12, VIETNAM

Danieli Morgardshamar will supply a new bar and wire rod mill to Song Da12 (Song Da Construction Transportation Material Company No. 12). The order for the new 300,000-tpy high-speed rolling mill was awarded in September 2001. This will be the third Danieli Morgardshammar rolling mill plant in Vietnam, after the previous SSE wire rod mill and Hoa Phat bar/rod mill contracts, presently under completion and due for hot run at the end of 2001 and beginning of 2002 respectively.The new Song Da rolling mill will feature all latest technologies for high-speed production of 10 to 36mm-dia plain/deformed bars, and 5.5 to 12-mm quality wire rod in coils.
