Malaysian Lion Group's planned 1.54m t/y capacity DRI plant at its steel complex in Banting, Selangor, is expected to be completed by early 2007, according to sources close to the company. Steel Business Briefing understands that about 40 percent of the plant's construction has been completed. The new plant will supplement the Group's internal ironmaking operations, and support its export activity.
