With new energy legislation now in force throughout Australia, timber sub-floors have come under attack with their lower performance in terms of the required ratings. However there is a product that will help achieve the required rating and that is double glazing. In many cases it is more cost effective and appropriate to use timber sub-floors such as in low lying, flood prone areas and sloping sites. Timber flooring is also aesthetically very pleasing and is often the choice that is demanded by the consumer.
