Sofrimar was set up in 1979 to purchase and process whitefish and shellfish in Ireland for sale in the French market. Diversification in the 80s led to the expansion of the product range with fresh, frozen, cooked and live products. The company is now a worldwide supplier of shellfish and whitefish, currently selling into the French, Spanish, Italian, UK, Dutch, Swiss, South Korean and Japanese markets.
