Kyoei steel have, for years, challenged better costefficiency by means of improving operational and introducing newtechnologies, aiming to be competitive among the integrated millsand the other mini-mills. Our key points are,(1) To select and mix primary materials (steel scrap) effectively(2) To improve melting and refining technique(3) To decrease unit consumption of energy and sub-materials(4) To save man-power and improve transport costThe report will summarize the details and effects on these majorareas; improvement in operation and equipment that they have carried out.
