The Woodland Trust looking to purchase Caledonian pinewood at Loch Arkaig

Two sea eagle chicks hatched this summer in a pine tree beside Loch Arkaig in Lochaber. The Woodland Trust, and partners Arkaig Community Forest, released a picture of the birds to highlight their urgent fundraising campaign (see photo below).Loch Arkaig Forest is being sold by Forestry Commission Scotland under the National Forest Land Scheme which gives community organisations the chance to buy land where this will provide increased public value. Arkaig Community Forest is a small group oflocal residents.
