Eamonn Wall attended the Royal Forestry Society's study tour to Eastern Turkey. Some assistance came from ConFor via its Education and Provident Fund. He outlines his observations on a very interesting part of the world. Over the years I have attendeda number of overseas forestry study tours (Finland, Poland, Czechoslovakia - when still united - and Italy) and was keeping my eyes peeled for another one. So I signed up for the RFS's study tour to north eastern Turkey which is a country of which I knew little and even less about its trees and forestry resources.
