History of the introduction of the improved cooking stoves into Kenva and Africa: a South-South initiative

In the recent edition of the International Forestry Review (Vol.18 |3l 2016) there was a photograph of a Kenyan woman cooking on an improved fuelwood stove, which had a ceramic liner. When 1 lived in Kenya from 1981 to 1987, I played an important role in the introduction of the Kenyan Ceramic Jiko (KCJ) into Kenya and then into Africa, which 1 now detail.
