摘要

Volatility in raw materials prices, especially iron ore, has pushed many steelmakers towards investing in captive mining and raw materials processing capacity. However, China’s Anshan Iron & Steel (Angang), which has just reported its first ever annual loss, seems to be paying well over market iron ore prices in spite of having one of the largest captive supplies of any Chinese steelmaker.
