US low-volatility coking coal prices fell Tuesday on the softening Asian market and limited buying in Europe with offers seen uncompetitive compared to those for Australian coals. A trader in Europe said an offer heard in Asia for Buchanan low-vol coking coal at $190/mt CFR China was far too high, based on freight of about 40 dollars/mt.
