Indonesian electric arc furnace steel producers are in discussions with government authorities over new regulations for importing containerized heavy melting scrap, Indonesian sources said Monday. The two sides are working on a new system involving more documentation and inspections at the port of loading in six geographical zones-Asia, Africa, America, Europe (excluding UK), UK and Australia/ Oceania-by appointed surveyors.
