US hard coking coal prices ticked up Tuesday as US miners received bids for lower quality high-vol material at slightly stronger prices, according to industry sources. The Platts high-vol B HCC assessment rose $2 to $112/mt FOB USEC, expanding to a $7 price rebound for the grade seen so far this month. The Platts US low-vol hard coking coal assessment rose $2 to $142/mt. US high-vol A remained flat at $128/mt FOB East Coast.
