Metallurgical coal market traders andminers meeting in Miami this week for theCoalTrans 2016 conference said demand forsome US coals in the Far East was strong,aided by low freight rates. Japanese and South Korean buyers of USmet coals are said to be keeping up stableshipment volumes, especially of high-vol, highfluiditytypes. Colombian high-vol traders are alsotrying to get Japanese business and expandsales in Europe outside regular shipmentsto Turkey.
