Eurofer's scrap indices for April flat at March levels

The European steel industry body Eurofer's scrap indices for April showed little change on month as the market remained stable and collection rates poor, an analyst close to the data said Thursday. April figures across the three types were flat. Demolition was steady at 329, new arisings slipped 2 points to 320, while shredded scrap came off a single point to 325 compared with the previous month. With respect to April 2011, shredded and demolition were both up, although new arisings slipped slightly.
