Japanese scrap prices have dropped again and a further fall is likely, according to scrap traders in the country surveyed by Platts Steel Business Briefing Monday. Tokyo Steel Manufacturing cut its scrap buying prices by Yen 500/mt for all grades at all works effective Saturday (September 22). Its H2 buying prices at Tahara and Utsunomiya are now Yen 25,500/mt (327 dollars/mt), down Yen 4,000/mt from late-August.
