NWR to start buying met coal in 2015 for trading strategy

Czech-focused coal miner New World Resources said Tuesday it would increase coking coal purchasing starting this year as part of a strategy to become a trader of metallurgical coals. “From 2015, we intend to significantly increase our trading and blending capability and import much greater volumes of coking coal to service our customer needs,” the company’s executive chairman Gareth Penny said in an earnings statement.
