Manganese ore prices were lower Friday as the market reported a stark lack of buying interest from China's consumers. Platts assessed 44% Mn ore at $4.90/dry mt unit CIF Tianjin Monday, down 2 cents from Thursday. “The buyers are comparing import and domestic prices and looking more at cheaper lower grade material in port when they want to buy,” a trader said Friday.
