Anglo American, Posco settle Q4 PCI down

Anglo American and South Korean steelmaker Posco settled their Foxleigh pulverized coal injection (PCI) contract for the fourth quarter at 125 dollars/mt FOB, down 37 dollars/mt (or 22.8%) from 162 dollars/mt FOB in Q3, sources said Friday. A Posco source said the result was awaiting internal approval, while Anglo American declined comment. No carryover tons were involved in the deal, sources said. Foxleigh PCI coal has 12.5% VM, 8.4% ash, and 0.55 sulfur.
