China's domestic scrap prices rose slightly Wednesday as small private mills lifted buying prices to ensure deliveries given relatively tight supply, market sources told Platts Steel Business Briefing. In eastern China's Shandong province, market prices for heavy melting scrap (thicker than 6mm) rose by Yuan 30-50/mt ($5-8) to Yuan 2,400-2,500/mt ($381-397) including 17% VAT.
