Asia-Pacific spot coking coal prices started the week on a negative trend Monday as China's reluctance to consider importing hard coking coal forced sellers to lower offers. Platts assessed the spot value of pre-mium low-volatile hard coking coal 50 cents/mt lower at 172 dollars/mt FOB Australia, while second-tier HCC breached the 150 dollars/ mt FOB mark, dipping by 1.50 dollars/mt to 149.50 dollars/mt.
