Luyuan plans to invest Yuan 100 million (16 million dollars) in the plant, which will include facilities for scrap sorting, shearing and shredding. The company had also been planning to establish a processing line to dismantle end-of-life domestic appliances and vehicles at the plant, but the plan could be put off given the currently sluggish scrap market, according to the company source.
