Price fall increases attractiveness of US met coals: sources

Despite a large shift to Australianmaterial last year, a number of Europeanbuyers said they see ongoing falling prices inthe US increasing the attractiveness of materialfrom that country. One Europe-based trader said he islooking to buy US spot material now, both lowvol and high-vol B (with high CSR), and that hedoes not expect prices to have changed muchsince his last US deals in December. For lowvol, he said he would now still expect to pay"under $76/mt FOB USEC" and "less than $72/mt" for high-vol B.
