The Asian metallurgical coal spotmarket was steady Tuesday in the premiumsegment, as there was less buying interestfrom end-users amid rising prices, sources said.Platts assessed premium low-vol hardcoking coal steady at $84.50/mt CFR ChinaTuesday. This equated to $78.85/mt FOBAustralia after accounting for Panamaxfreight at $5.65/mt. Prices for the second-tiercategory were assessed up 25 cents at $80.50/mt CFR China, or $74.85/mt FOB Australia,after accounting for Panamax freight.
