Turkish ferrous scrap stable, outlook uncertain

Turkish ferrous scrap prices were unchanged Friday, with few bids from Turkish mills and many European market participants on holiday. Platts assessed HMS I/II 80:20 at $290/mt. A deal for HMS I/II 75:25 was reported to have been concluded at $283.50/mt, though Platts was unable to confirm the sale and several sources said they did not think the market would accept the higher price.
