US high-vol coking coal prices rise as mills restock

US high volatile matter hard coking coal prices ticked up slightly Tuesday as two mills bought material at higher-than expected prices in recent transactions, according to industry sources. Brazil's Usiminas was said to have concluded a tender for a Panamax of high-vol B-type coal at under $110/mt FOB US, and is currently yet to award a combined cargo of high-vol A and B, a trader said. A source at Usiminas was not available for comment.
