MMC exports Mongolian coking coal to Sumitomo,

Mongolian Mining Corp. (MMC) said Wednesday it has exported hard coking coal to Japan's Sumitomo and Taiwan's China Steel as it diversifies from sales to China. Its share grew to almost a quarter of Mongolia's total coal exports in the first half of 2012. MMC delivered initial bulk shipments of 53,300 mt of “washed premium hard coking coal” via Russia's Nakhodka port to the two customers as well as to Mesco Steel in India, the company said in an earnings statement.
