Scrap costs remained unchanged in eastern China for the second straight week, as major steelmakers in the region kept buying prices unchanged despite lower rebar prices. Platts assessed heavy melting scrap 6 mm and above thick Friday unchanged at Yuan 1,470/mt ($237/mt) including 17% VAT, delivered to Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province.
