Turkish scrap market sources seemed to be preparing for a price crash Monday, as mill behavior mimicked that seen before the precipitous drop last year. “This is the same behavior we saw before the crash last year,” a trader for an international trading house said. Months of high pricing last summer saw mills booking Chinese billet and staying out of the scrap market, pushing prices down more than $80/mt between September and November.
