Platts assessment of heavy melting scrap I/II (80:20) remained steady on day at $265/mt CFR. A Turkish steelmaker pegged imports of premium US material at $264-$265/mt CFR. “The scrap market is very tight, there’s no sign of it going down yet,” said another steelmaker.
