Prices of imported scrap in East Asia this week have dipped by around $5/mt week-on-week, regional trading sources said. Though this week's market was described as quiet, some traders anticipated a pickup in prices on the back of reduced supply and rising Japanese scrap prices. In Taiwan, a leading US supplier offered containerized HMS I/II (80/20) scrap at $363/mt CFR, down from last week's $368/mt CFR.
