Eastern Chinese ferrous scrap prices stabilized Thursday after a significant surge at the beginning of this week, sources told Platts Steel Business Briefing. This was within market expectations and is likely to continue through to the end of this month, sources said. In Jiangsu province, major scrap buyers including Shagang Group have retained domestic buying prices over the past two days.
