Iron ore swaps rallied Friday, along with physical spot, on the back of the US Federal Reserve's third round of quantitative easing, brokers told Platts Steel Business Briefing. The Fed said it would buy 40 billion dollars/month of mortgage-backed bonds until there is a sustained improvement in the US jobs market.
