Russia seeks investor to rescue pig iron works

The potential bankruptcy of the firm managing the Verkhnesinyachikhinsky pig iron works in Russia's Sverdlovsk region has been put off until July 20. Moscow's arbitration court has postponed hearings on the insolvency filing from May 22 to July 19, Platts SBB learnt from a representative of the Sverdlovsk region's administration. The filing was made by NIGMAS Ltd, a Moscow-based firm that is leasing Verkhnesinyachikhinsky from its owner Volga-Sar.
