Henan Fengbao to commission new seamless pipe facility

Central China’s Henan Fengbao Special Steel (Fengbao) started hot testing its 159mm seamless pipe mill on 9 September. The new mill will boost Fengbao’s seamless pipe capacity to about 800,000 tonnes/year. The new mill will have an annual capacity of 400,000-500,000 t/y, Steel Business Briefing is told by a company official. He says the commissioning date will mainly depend on the hot testing situation but that “it should be soon”. The plant’s production equipment is supplied by domestic maker Taiyuan Heavy Industry, SBB learns.
