摘要

As the commander of the Army's main intelligence school, Brig. Gen. Gregg C. Potter has the potential to affect the performance of an entire cadre of intelligence professionals, from the brigade and battalion S-2 staffs who plan collections to the analysts who must answer life-and-death questions for commanders and policymakers. Potter, a 27-year career military intelligence officer, has a wide range of experiences from which to draw. He arrived at Fort Huachuca in December, after a stint as director of the Defense Intelligence Agency's Afghanistan-Pakistan Task Force, which analyzes events in the region for senior leaders in Washington. After the Haiti earthquake, Potter was dispatched to U.S. Southern Command in Miami, where he helped coordinate collection and dissemination of disaster information. In 2007 and 2008, he helped coordinate intelligence during the troop surge in Iraq as director of intelligence at Joint Special Operations Command.
