Second-tier hard coking coal prices edge up again

The spot Asia metallurgical coal market ended the trading week on a subdued note, as participants urged caution over the modest rally spurred by Chinese mill restocking this week. Premium low vol hard coking coal was unchanged on day at $90/mt CFR China Friday. This equates to $82.05/mt FOB Australia after deducting Panamax freight. Prices for non-prime material were up 50 cents to $86/mt CFR China.
