Brazil's Bahia state government and Bahia Mineracao (Bamin) have completed an environmental study necessary for a preliminary license for the huge Porto Sul project, but delays are possible. The disclosed deadline for approval and issuance of the license is September, but Bahia's government is not confident that the country's environmental agency, Ibama, will meet it.
