SAFM improves operations from Brazilian iron mine

Australian iron ore producer South American Ferro Metals (SAFM) will lift the mass recovery rate of its Ponto Verde mine in Brazil, after installing a second concentrator, the company said Wednesday. Commissioning of the stage I concentrator began in May and was expected to yield 62% of the plant's 1.5 million mt/year run of mine capacity.
