Gindalbie rails its first iron ore from Karara operation

Gindalbie Metals has transported the first iron ore by rail from the Karara operation in Western Australia and said all infrastructure is in place to begin exporting magnetite concentrate in September. The Perth-based company has completed the commissioning of a new 85km (52 mile) rail spur connecting the project to an existing line running between a rail siding at Morawa and Geraldton port, it said Tuesday.
