Spot prices of high-carbon ferrochrome in Asia were mostly steady this week but buyers were pushing for lower levels, market sources said Friday. Platts assessed the spot price of South African 48-52% chrome content charge chrome imported into China at 77-78 cents/lb CIF, and 58-60% high-carbon ferrochrome at 78.5-79 cents/lb CIF China Friday, both unchanged from a week ago.
