Global trader Stemcor and German international scrap recycler Scholz are looking to move into the UK scrap market by acquiring a stake in UK-based Metal & Waste, according to market sources. All three companies said to be involved declined comment. “There are a number of things in the pipeline; some take a long time, others move a bit quicker ... it's premature for me to make a comment [on any negotiations with Metal & Waste],” a Stemcor spokesman said Monday.
