The Chinese government is mulling plans that could reduce the tax burden on the country's iron ore miners by as much as half sometime next year, industry sources said Wednesday. "The central government may issue a policy next year that recognizes the serious losses the domestic ore miners are coping with," a Beijing-based industry source said, noting that earlier this year the miners' representatives petitioned the government for help at a closed door meeting.
