CIS slab prices are seeing the same boost as coil prices have from the raw material price rally, with offers being cancelled and upgraded every day, if not more frequently. A source at a slab processing mill told Platts Friday: "Yesterday, I received an offer from a CIS mill to buy slab at $365/mt [FOB Black Sea] and today this mill phoned me to say that yesterday's price is no longer effective and if I want to place my order, I should buy now, for $375/mt, as on Monday the price will be even higher."
