China wins appeal against EU in trade case over fasteners

China has won an appeal against the European Union in their long-running dispute over an unfair trade case concerning iron and steel fasteners (screws, nuts and bolts). In a statement Monday the World Trade Organisation (WTO) said its appellate body rejected elements of the EU's appeal against a previous ruling by its disputes settlement body that upheld China's complaint against EU anti-dumping duties dating back to 2008.
