Molybdenum oxide prices drifted lower in thin trade Tuesday as the market continued to edge down from highs above 12 dollars/lb, sources told Platts. “Everything is kind of reverting back to what we initially thought. We're starting to see sales in the mid-11s dollars, which is no great surprise,” said a US trader. A US consumer bought oxide powder in cans at a price slightly below 11.80 dollars/lb, the trader said, while a European trader said he had received offers of oxide in drums at 11.50 dollars/lb.
