Q3 iron ore prices averaged $113/mt, no crisis: Vale

The high volatility in iron ore prices during the third quarter was far from constituting a crisis in the sec-tor, according to executives of global miner Vale speaking on a conference call Thursday. Despite the low level of $88/ mt registered in August (for 62% Fe), Vale said Q3 average prices were $113/ mt - close to the average so far in Q4 of around $115/mt.
