Turkish imported scrap prices stable on new bookings

An integrated Turkish mill concluded its scrap buy tender issued Wednesday and another large mill was heard booking level on previous transactions, as a major US merchant continued to ink the bulk of contracts in the East Mediterranean this week, market players said Thursday. The integrated mill reportedly accepted a bid for its tender for 10,000 mt of heavy melting scrap I/II (80/20 blend) at 440 dollars/ mt CFR Iskenderun, 5,000 mt of shred at 445 dollars/mt CFR and 25,000 mt of bonus at 465 dollars/mt CFR.
