European scrap exporters to Southeast Asian markets told Platts Steel Business Briefing this week that Indonesia is once again importing containerized scrap, after a long hiatus brought about by a domestic complaint with an EU-origin heavy melt cargo. “Exports are once again going to Indonesia from European ports, but suppliers are cautious about what grades they can send,” one container exporter said.
